JULY 2025

Studio 55 Arts Guild Program

Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 1:00 PM

LOCATION: National Avenue Christian Church
1515 S. National Ave., Springfield, MO

Program by Doris Doucette

Join us on July 9 at National Avenue Christian Church to hear from our featured speaker, Doris Doucette.  Doris has a background in fine art, graphic art, photography, and metalsmithing. She studied at Columbus College of Art and Design and Fort Wayne Art Institute. She was the Graphic Director for Bowhunter Magazine for 12 years and had her own graphics business in Colorado for nine years. She participated in many fine art shows throughout Colorado. Due to travel, jewelry was a natural transition. Her jewelry and fabric art are one-of-a-kind unusual creations. She enjoys putting together unlikely objects to make whimsical and surprising art. Since moving to Springfield, she has focused on silver, copper, and beaded jewelry. She received the "Best of Show" award at Waverly House Gifts & Gallery during its "Sporting Chance" show.

She says her inspirations are the shapes and colors of nature. "To look at the flowing lines of flower petals or the veins of a leaf is to see the graceful repetition and movement."

Ursula Wollenberg

Ursula Wollenberg will be displaying her art work, including both watercolor and acrylic works, at Gailey's Breakfast Cafe, 220 E. Walnut St., through September.
