Dates and Location: March 20 – April 11, 2019, Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts

Artists' Reception: Thursday, March 21, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. with awards presentation at 7:00 p.m.

Receipt and Return of Entries: All works must be hand-delivered to the Fuldner Lounge at the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts on Monday,March 18, 2019, between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. only. Works delivered after 3:00 p.m. will not be accepted.Works must have an identification tag attached to the back, upper-left hand corner, or the base of 3-dimensional works, and must be accompanied by the entry form and entry donation.

Jurying will be conducted on March 19, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and no one other than jurors and Exhibits Committee jury volunteers will be admitted. You may call 836-3098on March19 from 11:30-1:30   p.m. to see if you have an art piece accepted or to be picked up. Works not accepted must be picked up by the artists on Tuesday, March 19, at the Fuldner Lounge between 12:00-3:00 p.m.

Works accepted and exhibited must be left for the duration of the exhibit and picked up at the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts on Friday, April 12, 2019, between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

Eligible Artists: This exhibition is open to all visual artists age 60 or older.

Eligible Work: A maximum of two entries per artist may be submitted for consideration.  Work may be two- or three-dimensional, of any medium or combination of media; but must be original, executed within the last three years.Two-dimensional work must be framed and equipped with hook eyes and wire.  Wrap-around canvases are acceptable if edges are painted and nails or staples do not show. Works can be no larger than 60" in height and must otherwise be of a scale and weight easily handled and installed by the exhibits committee volunteers.


Entry Donation: Each artist may submit up to two entries. A non-refundable donation of $5 per entry will be required. Make checks payable to: Senior Art Exhibition Fund.

Best of Show Award: The jurors will select one piece as "Best of Show" and the artist will receive a $100 gift card to The National Art Shop.

Juror's Choice Award: Each juror will select a work deserving special recognition.  The artist will receive a $40 gift card to The National Art Shop.

National Art Shop Memorial Award: A $75 gift card will be given to a deserving recipient, chosen by employees ofThe National Art Shop, to honor the life of a regional artist.

Fiber Art Award, Photography Award and Three-Dimensional Award: One piece will be selected in each category and the recipients will receive a $40 gift card to The National Art Shop.

Viewing: March 20 - April 11, 2019 The Art Exhibition will be open for viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday


Liability: Workswill be handled with all possible care; but neither the Senior Art Exhibition Committee, nor the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts, will be responsible for loss or damage from any cause whatsoever.  Artists desiring to insure work must make their own arrangements.
