Doug Steere: "Our January 2024 speaker, watercolor artist Nadine Ellman, weaved together the events of her life with her life in art. Her discussion of her commissioned paintings brought a few tears to the eyes of audience members, as she explained how her paintings have helped some people deal with loss and tragedy. It shows once again that there is more to a painting than the paint and paper. Thank you, Nadine, for your presentation!" Here are some photos from the January 10th meeting, some of Nadine's art, and other art shared by Studio 55 members.
